Who is Mike Horn

The ultimate explorer

Mike Horn is a professional explorer who has experienced the world like no other person. From circumnavigating the Equator unmotorised to exploring the North Pole on foot, his numerous extreme adventures are world-renowned and have always been about getting the full experience.

Together with Cyril Despres, Mike was tasked with testing the Norden 901 in the harsh Icelandic landscape. Just as important, however, was to determine whether it delivered the full sensory experience an explorer of his stature expects.

Mike is a person who gets inspired by any idea that sounds exciting. And the moment his mind is excited, the impossible no longer exists. Exploring is as ordinary to him as a 9 to 5 job is for someone else. It is simply what he loves doing and has always done. To have the freedom to get out there and discover more about himself allows him to be the best person he can be.
