Data Usage

We use your information to properly fulfill contracts concluded between you and us, such as purchase and service contracts for Husqvarna Motorcycles products and services, motor sport events and motorcycle trips, as well as for the sending of information requested by you.

We use the information we have obtained from you to send you direct mail for your own, or similar products or services by post or e-mail. You have the right to revoke this at any time. Please direct your revocation to privacy@husqvarna-motorcycles.com or by post to the Data Protection Department, Husqvarna Motorcycles GmbH, Stallhofnerstrasse 3, 5230 Mattighofen, Austria.

In the event that you give us your explicit consent elsewhere, we will process and transmit your personal data for the information and marketing purposes specified in the declaration of consent. You have the right to also revoke this consent at any time.

In order to achieve the intended purposes, it may occasionally be necessary for us to submit your data to our cooperation partners. We only work with cooperation partners who provide sufficient guarantees that your data is also kept in safe hands with them. Our cooperation partners are:

  • group companies (a list of all group companies can be viewed here)
  • Husqvarna Motorcycles dealers or service partners (a list can be viewed here)
  • Marketing service providers, who support us in conducting marketing actions 

We will only store your data for as long as necessary for the purposes for which we have collected your data. Specifically, we store your personal data for reasons of product liability and warranty for a period of 12 years from the date of purchase of your product and in each case for another 3 years, insofar as you engage in activities with respect to Husqvarna Motorcycles (e.g., booking test drives or motorcycle tours). In this context, it should be noted that for tax reasons, contracts and other documents under our contractual relationship must be kept for a period of seven years (Art.132 BAO - Austrian Federal Fiscal Code). In individual cases, such as in the case of pending official proceedings, this retention period may also be longer than seven years. We retain pure marketing data for up to 5 years after the last contact with you.

We would also like to inform you that you have the right, at any time, to request information about which specific data about you has been processed by us (see further details Art. 15 GDPR); have the right to have your data corrected or deleted (see further details Art. 16 GDPR); have the right to limit the processing of your data (see further details Art. 18 GDPR); have the right to object to data processing (Art. 21 GDPR), as well as the right to data portability (see further details Art. 20 GDPR). Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority.
