Electric motor

Producing a peak power output of 19.2 kW and 37 Nm of torque, the modern electric motor offers performance and an efficient energy consumption for extended riding times. With a permanent drive motor, this eliminates the need for a clutch or gearbox and ensures a simplified riding experience that beginners through to advanced riders will benefit from. The electric motor produces next to no noise, which means the Pioneer can be ridden in areas with sound restrictions.

Battery

The Li-Ion battery has been rigorously tested in challenging conditions to prove its durability and performance. One benefit to owning a Pioneer is that the battery can be removed with tools within a matter of minutes, which means a fully charged spare can be fitted quickly and easily for continued riding.

Safety

A key safety feature, the Pioneer is equipped with a rollover sensor (ROS) and if the machine is laid over, intentionally or unintentionally, power to the rear wheel is immediately disengaged.

Brakes

With no clutch on the Pioneer, the rear brake is operated by the rider's left hand, ensuring a heightened level of control. Exceptional stopping power comes from the hydraulic Braktec brake systems, floating calipers, and the 260 mm front disc and 220 mm rear disc, which combine to provide assured braking performance.

Charging

A full recharge using the included 660W charger on a standard household electric supply will take just under eight hours to complete and provides a enduro riding time of up to three hours and the 660W charger can be easily stored under the seat. For charges up to 80%, this takes approximately four and a half hours.

Multi-function display

An LCD dashboard clearly displays essential information at a glance with riders able to choose what is shown at any one time. The options available are - State of Charge, Ride Mode and Regen Map, Clock, Trip, Accumulated Run Time, and the Odometer. These can be toggled through and selected by pressing one of the two buttons on the dashboard.

Switch cube

The Pioneer features three ride modes - 1, 2, and 3 - which can be toggled between and engaged depending on the riding situation using the handlebar-mounted Switch Cube. To highlight the advanced technology found on the Pioneer, there are three recuperation modes: "mid" and "high" transfer energy back into the battery based on the braking force applied, while "off" is available should regeneration of power not be required. Housed inside the Switch Cube is a button marked TC that activates Traction Control for improved grip when riding in slippery conditions.
